Welcome to the oldest permanent settlement of non-indigenous peoples in the state of Montana. This happened 48 years before Montana actually became a state. Located in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley, in Ravalli County, this sweet town is nestled in between the Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountain ranges.  The Bitterroot River flows right through town and provides ample of recreation for the locals.
